This past weekend, a group of students attended a poverty immersion retreat at the Oscar Romero Retreat Center in Camden, New Jersey. Students experienced what it's like to live in one of the poorest cities in the country by volunteering at various service sites, taking part in a poverty-living simulation activity, and reflecting on and praying for those who are less fortunate.
